my m&m's

i was supposed to visit the kids at school yesterday since they're leaving tomorrow, but we ended up at sm til 3:30pm. we had lunch at the food court with santi's paternal grandparents, cousin and his mom then we bought a few things. maddie chose a pair of sunglasses and i bought her an umbrella. there never seems to be an umbrella around when we need one, so i bought one for myself as well. =P after the mall, we dropped off santi's mom at work then picked up mick. i wanted to go to atc to pick up the picture company portraits, but santi said it would be a waste of gas. =P thankfully, margot was near the mall, so she got the pics for me. thanks margot! the pictures came out great, except for one. =P it was the shot of maddie in a tin tub. for some reason, they photoshopped her scar. so i called and asked if i could get that re-printed since i didn't want the scar "erased". Ü


then today, mick had no school. =P i ended up going with santi to help him with his banking...just the two of us. we left the kids at home. Ü mick was there to keep maddie company. plus...she was busy using the pc when we left. =P santi and i had lunch at a chinese restaurant then went to festival mall so i can say bye to my korean students. Ü i bumped into a lot of them at 3 different stores...one being national bookstore. =P then i saw the rest at mcdonald's since that was their meeting place. Ü while i said hi to the kids, santi was buying a scanner/printer. Ü after he had it tested, we went to town to watch a movie. we saw death race. it was pretty good. jason statham, the guy from the transporter, and tyrese were in the movie so of course it was pretty good. =P oh...i also returned the pic of maddie. the lady said the reprint should be ready by sunday or monday. Ü

now she has a cold and cough. =0( she kept on complaining last night that she couldn't breathe. her nose isn't clogged though. it's the beginning of a cold so her nose feels funny. =0( i think i'm almost over my cold and cough. hopefully maddie's goes away soon.


anyways...we ate lunch at chi's yesterday. thanks mama! Ü then, santi, mick and i experienced our first flood crossing. =P we picked up mick around 4pm then went to the bank. as soon as we got to the parking lot, it started pouring. while inside, the bank experienced 3 brown outs. =P every time the computers were up and ready, the electricity went out. =P it was still pouring when i ran to the car. on the way home, it was suuuuuuper traffic! we were stuck for 30 minutes cause there was a flooded area. people pulled over to the side and either thought about crossing or wanted to wait it out. =P after seeing a getz cross, we went ahead and drove forward. =P don't worry, jill. Ü your car did great! Ü



today, santi and maddie went with me to the lto to get my license renewed. when we got there, we found out that i have to re-take the exam since my license is more than 2 years expired. =P on the way home, maddie fell asleep. =P this is another reason why kids need car seats...


so they can sleep better. =P around 4:15pm, we picked up mick. he wanted to go to the mall cause he needed a filipino book, but santi said to check the internet first. =P he couldn't find the info he needed, so i ended up driving him to atc. Ü yup...i drove even if i don't have a license. =P i found out that my u.s. license is valid for 3 months after arrival. Ü so i have til october 16. Ü i'll try to fix my philippine license by tomorrow or friday. Ü

after a month at work, i was told i'd have to take a "vacation" til the new batch of kids arrived. =P the new batch is supposed to arrive in september. oh well...at least i'm free to do all the things i'm supposed to like pick up my atm card from the bank, renew my license, get mick on a schedule, talk to his teachers, etc. i was only here for less than a week before i started working. =P plus...i wasn't feeling well that day. my throat was itchy and my nose was acting weird. i felt a cold coming. =P santi picked me up from work around 1:30pm. then around 5:45pm, jill, maddie and i went to town for a pictorial at the picture company. Ü krissy had a friend who was ojt-ing so we didn't have to pay the sitting fee and we were given a free 8x10 i think? =P or maybe it was a 5x7? anyways...something was free. =P only thing was...maddie was great in front of the camera! she was totally working it! so...she had 15-20 good shots. how was i supposed to choose only a couple? =P i spent ¼ of my salary on pictures! i didn't pick them til the next day, but still. i couldn't resist!

i had a cold. =P we had a party to attend at active fun from 1:30-5pm. we were there til 6pm i think. santi and the kids disappeared in the activity center so i just waited for them. =P all the guests left and went home while they were playing. =P santi and maddie came out first. then mick disappeared for 15-20 minutes. when we were finally complete, we went to the mall to pick maddie's pictures. we were supposed to watch wall-e, but we were 30 minutes late for the 6:30pm showing. the next one was at 8:45pm. we ended up going home. around 10pm, santi and i walked to another friend's house and i was there til 1:30am. by the time i got to the room, maddie wasn't there. =P around 4am, i turned to face the other way, and maddie was there...awake and smiling. =P she wanted me to get her yakult, but i told her to just drink water. =P 15 minutes later, santi arrived. =P perfect timing. Ü maddie made him go downstairs for yakult. =P

i slept most of the day cause i wasn't feeling so great. i had a cold and a migraine. we went to church around 6:30pm i think. Ü after, we went to atc to watch wall-e with santi's cousins and the kids. it was pretty good. Ü

hmm...i drove by myself to the laundry place to drop off our dirty clothes. =P then we just bummed around at home. it was a holiday, so the house was full. Ü around 5:30pm, santi, maddie and i went to atc to meet maree and her mom. Ü her open heart is scheduled on august 28 so we met them to give the money santi raised. Ü please include maree and her family in your prayers. i think she'll be admitted either today or tomorrow at philippine heart center.


today
nothing really planned. i wanna get my license renewed. think we'll either do it later or tomorrow. =P maddie and i didn't wake up til 8:30am. i woke up briefly to wake up mick. =P then i went back to sleep. when i finally got outta bed, i started coughing. =0(

it's pay day! =P at least it was for me. =P i get paid every 5th and 20th. Ü mick's class was suspended by lunch cause of rain. wish our school followed that rule. =P oh well...work was pretty fun today anyways. =P it was laid back and i had 2 one hour breaks. =P so i basically had a 2 hour lunch and i was off by 4pm. =P my last class stayed home so i was done early. i hung out at work to wait for my salary. =P plus...santi was gonna pick me up after he went to the chevrolet dealership near my building. on the way home we dropped off his friend, got the birthday invitations printed and bought envelopes. can't wait to see how the invites turned out! they'll be delivered tomorrow. when we got home, the house was packed. family members from agta were in town for tatay's 60th birthday tomorrow. we had a pre-birthday dinner tonight complete with lechon and native chicken. =P there were boxes of go nuts donuts and brownies. lots and lots of sweets to last a few days at least. Ü can't wait for the mango float tomorrow. maybe i'll have that for breakfast. =P anyways...gotta go to bed now. here's the pic of the day. Ü whenever maddie sees me carrying julia, she wants to be carried too. she does the same thing to jill, mama and tatay. =P kids! =P and to think! i've always wanted twins. wonder how i would've dealt with carrying two big toddlers at one time?!?!? =P i would've probably had to slings or something. =P one baby at each side. Ü julia and maddie are both over the 20 pound range. =P

yesterday was a holiday so i had a 3 day weekend. Ü we didn't do anything except bum around at home. =P baby julia stopped by in the evening so maddie had fun fighting with her. =P kids! sheesh! =P


as for today, margot picked me up from work. we went to atc to register maddie at rustan's for her upcoming birthday. Ü thanks margot for all the help! Ü glad you enjoyed as much as i did. =P isn't it fun picking out baby/toddler/kid stuff?!?! =P so now, all i gotta do is have santi print out the invites tomorrow, buy envelopes and either mail or drop off the invitations to everyone. Ü then everything's pretty much all set for her party next month. Ü i'm excited! i still have to finalize the food a week or two before the party. gotta give the guest list, too, around that time. hopefully people rsvp by the date i indicated on the invitation. =P

my first pay day. =P i wasn't paid half of my monthly salary since there's some kinda cut off system. i only got 8 days worth instead of the whole 11. =0( oh well. at least i'm earning something again. Ü when i got home, maddie was dressed as snow white. =P

don't remember which means we probably didn't do anything. =P actually...i think we went to ruins? we had to pick up the laundry so i think we stopped by ruins too cause i wanted to get a new dvd for my students. every friday is movie day. =P the first time i did that, i made all my classes watch cat in the hat. Ü so i was super bored by lunch. =P after i bought a few dvds we went to step rite so i could buy a pair of comfy shoes. i bought ballerina flats that fit nicely. Ü

went out with 2 co-workers, our boss and our boss' boss. =P wasn't expecting to go out, but we were kinda kidnapped. =P more like he told us to get in the van and we all did. we had no clue where we were going. =P we ended up eating and had a few drinks at manong's. i got dropped off at festival mall after so i could pick up our sun cellular phones. Ü i got a line for me, santi and mick. Ü santi picked me up at festi with maddie. she was sleeping in her car seat when he got to festi. =P

rode with jill home so we went to step rite and california nails. i needed to buy nice sandals for work since i only had pointed heels. i ended up getting 2 pairs. =P and since i wanted to wear my sandals, i needed to get a pedicure. =P so we both bought sandals and got foot spas. =P then we had dinner at baliwag. Ü when we got home, i took maddie a bath and let her watch a dvd. this is what i saw when i checked on her 15 minutes later...

had to go to the grocery with the kids cause mick needed porkchop for school. again...he only remembered that day. *sigh* he's sooooo like his dad! i bought a little notebook for him to write down all the stuff he needs for school. he used it a couple times. =P but he usually ends up remembering he needs something the night before he needs it. =0(

this is what i wake up to. =P maddie in different positions...usually with her feet at mick's face. sometimes, her face is on mick's butt though. =P and he ends up farting in her face. *sigh* kids!

santi, maddie and i had dinner at mall of asia with santi's ex-pilot friend. =P we ate at rack's. Ü after dinner, maddie and i walked around a bit. we went into a crocs store. =P bad idea! maddie wanted the same crocs i have and i wanted a pair i could wear to work. Ü it had heels and was suuuuuper comfy! only thing is, it's $20 more than the states. so now i'm tempted to buy it online and have it sent to my mom. Ü i need open toe shoes with heels that are comfy for work. the 2 pointed toe heels i have give me blisters. =0(

alex's 4th birthday at tita baby's house. Ü we got there around 6pm. maddie had fun especially when she saw adriana. Ü we got home around 9m last night. i was sooooo tired! i fell asleep before brushing my teeth and washing my face. =P think i fell asleep before maddie. Ü

gotta work on maddie's birthday invitations. i'm gonna do more layouts. i did one yesterday cause i wanted to have them printed out so i could give them to all my "north" relatives. =P i found out that i could have them printed within minutes, but they use a regular ink jet printer. if i wait for them to deliver it the next day, it's the big photo printers like the one at costco. guess i'll wait. plus...it's a bit too early to give them out now. it's a month away still. people usually give invitations 1-2 weeks before the event. =P i'll try to take family pics today. =P we still haven't taken one since we got here. =P

one more month to go before maddie turns 3! =P time flies waaaaay tooooo fast! =0(


well...this little girl talks and talks and talks...oh...and talks. =P she's starting to talk clearer and clearer everyday. Ü she hardly spends time with me anymore...which i guess is a good thing. =P but it sucks when i wanna spend time with her and she'd rather play. =0( my baby's growing so fast! she loooooves polvoron and yakult. =P she still eats more when we're outta the house. Ü she likes to fight with her dad if other people are home. but if it's just the two of them, she's ok. =P she's still a snob. =P she's still sweet and spicy. Ü she looooves to go out. she gets annoyed if she has to wait before we leave. she's always telling us to hurry up. =P think she got that from my dad. Ü she's good with baby julia. if baby julia hits her, she tells julia to stop hitting...it hurts. =P i'm glad she doesn't hit back. Ü


well...gotta go to bed now. it's 11:10pm. i stopped typing to help mick with his homework and take a bath. Ü maddie's still not in the room. guess she's either downstairs with santi's parents or next door with santi's sisters. =P no clue where she is. =P she'll come up when she's ready. Ü we went to serendra earlier to pick up julia. while waiting for julia, we stayed in the bookstore and read some books. then we headed to fun ranch to meet up with cris and the kids. santi stayed with the kids while i went with cris and julia to tiendesitas. there's sooooo many cute puppies there! gotta go back with the kids. they haven't been there yet. Ü anyways, we got home in time for a steak dinner for mike, melo and drago's birthday. belated happy birthday to mike and melo and advanced happy birthday to drago. Ü i'll try to post pics from the other camera as soon as i upload them onto my laptop. Ü

Ü maddie had fun playing in iya's room. forgot to take pics of maddie playing with iya. as soon as we got in the car, maddie told me she was sleepy. i told her to go ahead and sleep. when i checked on her a couple minutes later, she was sleeping. so we took her home and left to meet santi's friends at the fort. when we got there, they were all done eating. =P i ordered dessert though while santi had a few beers. =P we got home around 2:45am. maddie woke up around midnight and krissy stayed with her in the room. thanks krissy! Ü jill watched maddie when we went out friday night. thanks jill! you guys are the best! Ü forgot to mention that we went out on friday night, that's why yesterday's post was published at 1:24am. =P we got home around 1am that night. Ü santi just took me to tides...a bar in bf. i think i'm too old for the bars around bf. either that, or i'm just sick of the bars in bf. =P i'd rather go out to makati or the fort...or host dinners and drinking sessions at our own place...whenever we get our own place. =P

i finally have a post. =P i know...i'm bad. don't know why it's so hard for me to blog now. hopefully this week is different. i'll try my hardest to post every day. it's probably cause me and mick are gone most of the day. =P i don't really know what maddie does except throw at least one tantrum a day. Ü and when i get home, she usually wants to hang out with loola, krissy, jill or tatay. =P so i end up falling asleep for a while before i have to take her a bath and brush her teeth. Ü

after work, drago, margot and julia picked me up and took me to active fun so i could reserve a slot for maddie's 3rd birthday. they guy showed me the different function rooms and at least i got to see the place. only thing was...when it was time to make the down payment, my credit card was declined. =P turns out, it was blocked cause the fraud department wanted to make sure it was really me who was using the card. i wasn't able to call the card company at active fun cause the call kept on disconnecting. i ended up going home to call the 1-800 number using the magic jack. then i made santi take me back. =P we took the kids too so they could check out the place. they all (including santi) had fun. Ü

santi and the kids picked me up again and we went straight home. =P oh...finally watched zohan. Ü the joys of pirated dvds. =P i know...bad. =P but at least i get to watch movies again. Ü then, around 11:30pm or something, santi and i went out. went to a dark, noisy bar with a handful of cocktail choices. =P the food was good though. Ü just got home now that's why i decided to update the blog. =P
