my m&m's

grrr...i was supposed to upload pics from earlier, but i can't find the camera. bet my mom put it somewhere. anyways, all we did today was play wii. =P ces and narciso stopped by with their belated christmas presents around 5pm. Ü maddie looooves her new disney princess tea set. Ü when my mom got home around 6:30pm, i left the kids and went to target to return the game ces gave mick. he wanted another game...warioware smooth moves. had to return something for my mom too. since toys r us is located in the same shopping center, i checked to see if they had the game there cause target didn't have it. plus, i was looking for a couple things for the wii. i was shocked when i found out the video game accessories were 30% off and the video games were 10% off. the store is re-locating so everything was on sale. =P gotta go back tomorrow cause the guy said the accessories might get even cheaper. Ü the games will be 20% off tomorrow. don't think i'll get a game. got no money. =P those things cost soooo much. but we need an organizer, a controller and rechargeable batteries. =P when i got home, i ordered mick's game on target.com and also the batteries. Ü guess i'll wake up early tomorrow to get the organizer and controller. Ü oh...after toys r us, i ended up renting a game for mick at blockbuster...mario and sonic at the olympic games. it was funny watching mick play. =P he was sooo into it. he got sooo hot that he took off his shirt and pants. =P he was playing in his boxers. bwahahaha. and the temperature is in the mid 50s. =P i played for a while, but man...that game makes you move! =P my arms got tired after a while. =P

first, i wanna say happy birthday to my dad and narciso...happy birthday guys! Ü we had dinner at an italian restaurant, giorgio's, earlier.


next, i wanna wish my parents a belated happy anniversary. =P it was on the 23rd. totally forgot...sorry. after the wedding, i've been on bum mode. =P all i wanna do is play wii, eat and watch movies on tv. =P anyways, it was their 29th year last sunday. they weren't even home cause they took my aunts to the airport.

still haven't gotten camille's pics, but i do have a couple. Ü her's are better cause her camera is better. =P the sony that she gave me takes blurry pics now. =P i'll post more pics when i get them.

we went to my aunt's house around 2pm. it was supposed to be a lunch thing so we were kinda late. =P the kids opened up more presents...more cash than presents actually...then we headed to my cousin's house. funny cause at my aunt's place, my lil' cousins got a wii from their parents. so the kids were playing from the time we got there til we left. then, when we went to lon's house, he was playing with the wii that he gave to his kids. =P we went home around 6:30pm then we left around 7pm to check out christmas tree lane in palo alto before going to the 8pm mass. we went last year, but there weren't as many decorations. maddie fell asleep on the way there, so she was really cranky when we tried to wake her up. =P but when she saw the lights, she watched quietly. Ü she really looooves christmas lights. Ü

we went to a few stores to return stuff then headed to the mall with my parents. mick wanted to get wii game since he got a $40 gamestop card from donna. thanks donna! mick and maddie loooove their presents! Ü forgot to take a pic of maddie with snow white. i'll try to take one later. Ü anyways, when we got to gamestop, the line was sooo long. plus, they didn't have the game we wanted...big brain academy. =P maddie just woke up when we got to the mall, so she was a little hungry. we went to the food court to get her nuggets and an early dinner for me and mick. there were sooooooo many people! i felt like i was in the philippines during pay day weekend or something. it seemed to be worse than christmas shopping! as soon as we finished eating, we went home. =P

we stayed home all day. =P played wii and watched movies like the messengers and memoirs of a geisha. =P

just wanted to say merry christmas to everyone! thanks for calling sweetie. wasn't expecting you to call...much less 6:30am. =P wish the webcam worked better while the kids were opening up their gifts. we're having christmas lunch at my grandma's house then chuch later tonight. yesterday night, we went over camille and nik's place. the food was sooooo good! too bad you guys missed it ces. =P i'll post more pics tomorrow. camille hasn't sent the pics from yesterday yet. Ü mick was sooo happy when he opened up his present from me, santi and his godfather, lon. Ü thanks again lon and annette! the wii covers his christmas and birthday presents from us. =P i played with it for an hour. got tired cause i was carrying maddie around while playing baseball. =P she's asleep now on my shoulder. woke the kids up at 7am to open the rest of their gifts. =P she usually wakes up around 9:45am. anyways, gotta go eat breakfast. happy holidays!

=P when maddie and i woke up this morning, i told mick he could play on the pc if he watched his sister. Ü i popped in a dvd while mick played and i closed the computer room door. =P i ran to the car to get the presents then locked myself in the bedroom. =P i totally suck at wrapping stuff that aren't a square or rectangle. =P at least i got everything wrapped before dreamgirls started on hbo. Ü now, mick's at the movies with his friends. i was planning on watching with them, but maddie took her nap 20 minutes before we left. she woke up when i put her in the car seat. so if we watched with them, she might have gotten cranky. oh well...guess i'll play pokemon while waiting for mick. Ü can't wait for the kids to open up their presents though. we're spending christmas eve at camille and nik's place then christmas at my grandma's. Ü don't know if i should let mick open up his gifts tomorrow or christmas day. he's in for a real shocker. Ü

oh...and ces and narciso are planning to spend an extra day in fiji. *sigh* lucky bums! =P here's what she emailed earlier:

Well, we have additional news for you. We are NOT arriving on the 24th but on the 25th instead. Because we missed a day in Fiji, they probably didn't count that day at all and we were told that we were booked an additional day (in the overwater) at no extra charge. When we checked how much it cost to reschedule out tickets, it was only $100 per ticket. It was just cheaper overall to stay the extra day... I guess it was meant to be! =)

As for the update here, we were just moved to the overwater bures. Again, another amazing room. But it actually rained yesterday, which wasn't too bad since it left us with a bright sunny day on Christmas Eve. We're thankful we got another day since we missed out on snorkeling and swimming in the pool yesterday. =)

i wanted to do my christmas shopping yesterday night while my mom watched the kids, but instead, we ended up doing my mom's list. =0( she asked my dad to watch maddie while we went to the mall and picked something up at my cousin's house. we were supposed to get my stuff after, but by 10pm, my dad was calling. =P

i ended up going to the mall this morning while my mom watched the kids. i was there before it even opened. =P good for me. Ü i was outta there by 10am i think then i went to walmart for wrapping paper and best buy. Ü got home around 11am, went to a carmelite monastery with narciso's family then went over to their house for a late lunch. Ü just got home now. hopefully i can wrap all the gifts tonight while the kids are sleeping. if not, i'll wrap them tomorrow while mick's out. his classmate's inviting him to the movies around 2pm. Ü i'll try to take pics tomorrow. gotta get me more rechargeable batteries for the cameras. Ü

oh yeah. my dad got an early christmas gift...a parking ticket. =P he left his car in the driveway (blocking the sidewalk) while he ran inside to get the radio for work. it was only $35, but still. we've lived here for soooo long and that's the first time someone got a ticket for doing that. camille looooves to leave her car in front of the gate...even when there's cops on bikes under our trees waiting to give out tickets. =P

wwwoohoooo! it was mick's last day yesterday. after dropping him off, i had to buy his teacher a christmas present. =P then i went to the bank. Ü i picked him up at 12 noon then we went home. =P around 6pm, the kids, my mom and i went to check out camille's new place. it's nice! Ü hopefully we can use the clubhouse and movie room on mick's birthday. too bad i forgot to take pics. haven't been in the mood lately to take any. =P

today, all i did was play sapphire pokemon. =P it's been raining the past few days, so i don't feel like going out. wish i was in fiji though. =P check out ces' email:

It's Ces and Jun Jun! We just wanted to let you know that we finally got here on the island--We thought Greece was as good as it got, but we were wrong! I was hyperventillating and overwhelmed with joy when we saw our beachfront bure. The food seemed like it was from a 5 star gourmet restaurant (and they sing while you eat.) And after about 2 1/2 hours here, we can't stop smiling from ear to ear. The weather is amazing... they told us it was raining the past days, but we brought the good weather with us. We just hope it stays bright and sunny with a cool breeze. Overall, the resort is incredible... I can't stop saying that and the water is so clear/light blue! If you look it up online [Likuliku lagoon resort], you'll see how nice it looks. But to be honest, in person it's probably 50x better. The pictures don't give it justice. I know I am supposed to be relaxing, but since everything is all inclusive... there is so much to do. Our biggest problem is choosing the activities! =) We can't stay long... but take care to everyone back home!

we picked up a letter for santi's visa at maddie's cardiologist. then my mom, maddie and i ate lunch at falafel drive in. maddie looooved the banana shake and fries. =P she didn't wanna taste the falafel. the food was pretty good though. the pita chips weren't that bad either. Ü after, we headed to best buy. i called the nearest one the day before and there were 9 laptops left. when i called before going there, they were outta stock. we ended up driving further than we wanted to and even got lost a bit. when i called, there were only 3 more in stock. when i got there, i bought the last one. =P since the best buy we went to was next to costco, we ended up buying food and gifts. Ü good thing it was a friday. we didn't have to rush to pick up mick cause he had chess practice. Ü when he got home around 6:30pm, he had a beginner apprentice certificate. Ü

saturday & sunday, 8-9 december 2007
i met with santi's pilot friend around 11:30am. good thing i didn't have to drive to san mateo. i just met him at his dad's house which is 5 minutes away. Ü then the kids and i had to go with my mom to her association's christmas party at 2pm. and since it was ces' bachelorette weekend, i had to leave the kids at the party with my mom when my cousins picked me up. Ü i explained to maddie that i was gonna go with tita camille and tita ces and she said ok. when i left her with my mom, she was ok since she was having fun at the party. after i left, my mom went home to pick up my dad then they went to a kiddie birthday party at my cousin's house. that was my first time leaving the kids overnight. i didn't get home til 11am the next day i think. =P i had fun hanging out with my sisters. camille did a great job planning. we rode around san francisco in a tuxedo ford excursion limo. we went to asia sf then to suite 181. the limo was supposed to pick us up at 2am, but we were all tired by midnight. =P we ended up eating pizza next door then got picked up by 1am. we were back at ces' condo by 1:15am. Ü don't remember what time i went to bed, but i do remember not being able to sleep well. i missed sleeping next to maddie. =P we woke up around 8am then walked a couple blocks to have breakfast. Ü when i got home, maddie was sooo happy. Ü my parents said she didn't cry much at night. she fell asleep next to mick then woke up and moved to my parents' bed. my dad said that around 4am she woke up again and started pulling up his shirt. =P bwahahaha. he was laughing. he took her to the kitchen and gave her a glass of water. then she went back to bed next to mick. Ü oh yeah...camille got the apartment she wanted a few hours after we got back from san francisco. Ü she was soooo excited and i'm happy for her and nick. finally...a place they can call their own...until they get a house that is. =P from the pictures she showed us, it looks more like a resort than an apartment. Ü speaking of pictures, whoever has pics from the bachelorette thing, please email them to me. better yet, burn me a copy on a dvd. Ü thanks! =P

i scheduled an appointment at 9am at the immigration office. i had to ask questions regarding santi's trip here for maddie's surgery. we were there for almost an hour. after, we went to costco again to pick up steak and salad and stuff. we went straight to my cousin's house so my dad could cook brunch for my aunts. Ü then we went to the mall. my parents dropped me, maddie and my aunts off around 1:30pm. they came back around 5pm or something with my car. they said to just leave my aunts and they'll pick them up again a little later since they had to go somewhere first. =P when my parents dropped off the car and mick, we weren't even half way around the mall! when they went back around 8pm, my aunts only went around ¾ of the mall. =P they'd go in a store and shop in installments. =P they'd find stuff, pay for it then one of them would find more stuff then they'd have to pay again then the other would find something else. =P i was sooo tired. =P the kids and i just bought some mcdonald's then ate in the car before going home around 6pm.

Ü then after picking up mick, we went to mens warehouse to get his suit then to walmart to pick up what i ordered online. Ü we ended up eating taco bell before heading home. i had to order 2 mexican pizzas cause maddie can eat at least half of one which doesn't leave much for mick. =P

crunch time. dropped off mick then went to the grocery to wait while the bank opened at 9am. =P then in the evening, my mom and i waited til my dad and mick got home so we could leave maddie while we got our nails done. =P she didn't cry when i left cause i told her i was going to the grocery. =P we got to the nail place around 7pm...just in time cause they close at 7:30pm. then we headed to the mall to pick up my aunts. my mom and i had to find shoes still, but we had no luck. we ended up leaving the mall around 9:30pm then headed to target to pick up more place card holders. good thing they close at 11pm. =P my aunts stayed at our place til 1am to help with the favors and stuff while i typed out the program. since my dad was sleeping, my mom had to take my aunts to my cousin's place...and since she doesn't like going by herself at night, she dragged me along. i was supposed to leave maddie with my dad, but she woke up and insisted she go with us. =P as soon as we got home, i tried finishing up the program. didn't sleep til 5am.

the wedding rehearsal was scheduled for 10:30am. since my mom and i hardly had sleep the night before, it was hard waking up. =P i woke up around 7am and started packing everything we needed til monday. we ended up getting to the church right on time. =P after, we all ate at the spinnaker in sausalito. Ü the weather was perfect and the views were breathtaking. it's like what you see on postcards. Ü the food was good too. Ü we finished just in time to check into the grand hyatt hotel (where the reception took place). the kids and i rested a bit while my parents went back home to pick up their stuff and my aunts. i tried finishing the program again, but we had no printer, my sister's laptop didn't have the right program and some info was still missing. i ended up walking around union square with the kids. first stop was walgreens to pick up a bottle of water, chips and a toothbrush for maddie. =P next, we went to the disney store. there were soooo many people everywhere. maddie didn't mind though since the disney store to her is like being in disneyland. =P after, we headed to macy's. stupid elevator was broken so i had to take the stroller up and down the escalator. anyways, we didn't find anything for maddie's hair, so we headed back to the hotel to sleep. =P

THE WEDDING! my mom woke me up around 6:30am i think to start finishing the program. we headed to ces' suite around 7am. got my hair set around 8:30am while i finished typing up the place cards and the program. the limo was ready by 12:30pm, but ces and the bridesmaids left around 1pm. wasn't able to go cause i was still busy. we ended up leaving the hotel around 1:45pm. the wedding was supposed to start at 2pm, but we weren't there yet. =P as soon as we got to the church, we jumped outta the van. thanks nick for parking the van. =P lots of people were impressed with how things went...even the bride. =P she said it was better than she expected. =P the reception ended around midnight...actually, before that. the ballroom was empty except for a group of ces' friends, my cousin, his wife and her brother and sister, my aunts, my mom, me and the kids. =P yes...the kids and i were still up. maddie fell asleep, but i had to get contact cleaner from ces' room so she ended up waking up when we went down to the ballroom. =P oh...sorry for the pics. i didn't take any that night. =P there were 3 photographers that night so i didn't bother bringing my camera. my mom took some pics, but they were mostly of the guests. =P she didn't even take a good pic of the newlyweds. =P

we checked out around 1:30pm. i wanted to walk around union square, but after having breakfast in ces and narciso's suite, i had a headache. guess it's from the lack of sleep. we stayed til they opened up all their presents then the kids and i headed to the room. maddie and i fell asleep while waiting for my parents. =P we got home around 5 or 6pm yesterday. think i took a nap again when we got home. when i woke up, i cleaned up the room cause i left a pile of clean clothes on the bed to be folded. =P


today
woke up around 7am to get mick's stuff ready for school then went back to bed til 10am. =P picked up mick from school then went straight home. it started raining last night, so i'm not in the mood to do anything except stay home. =P hopefully it stops raining tomorrow so the kids and i could visit camille. Ü it's mick's last day of school tomorrow til next year. he'll be off by 12 noon. Ü then the kids and i can bum around at home. =P

maddie's follow up appointment was at 11:30am. she wasn't in the mood since she has a cold still. so when the cardiologist did an ultrasound, she was crying. poor baby. hopefully her cold goes away soon. maddie's right ventricle is one inch bigger than her left. it's supposed to be the other way around...her right's supposed to be half the size of the left. i've been reading a lot since the first appointment and i informed her that i'm ready for an open heart. she would have to refer the results for the catherization procedure but with the size of the hole, she wasn't so sure that would be an option. the closure device would have to be slightly bigger than the hole which would take up most of the space. if the device is too big, it might cause erosion. plus, i don't think i'd want a foreign object like that in her heart. it's a less invasive procedure, but chances are, she might not even qualify. so the cardiologist suggested we make another appointment in 3 months and schedule a tentative operation sometime in april/may next year. she said sometime before next winter. i totally forgot camille was planning to get married around those months, so i had to confirm it with her which month we should schedule the procedure. she suggested end of may. so after talking to her, i had to talk to santi. i have to consult a lawyer to see what's the best way to get him here.

after seeing the doctor, maddie ended up playing in the waiting room. =P she didn't want to leave. she would say, "no...cooking". =P so i let her play for a while then we went to eat. i dropped off my mom at work before heading to the mall with maddie. it's right across the street from my mom's office. =P i asked her if she wanted to go to the toy store and she said no. but when i asked her if she wanted to buy a dress, her face lit up and she said "wow". Ü we stopped by coach then went to the disney store. on the way to disney store, she saw red heels on display and she said "wow...shoes!". Ü but as soon as she saw the disney store, she was sooo happy. it's like she was at disneyland. =P after looking at everything in the store, we picked up my mom then picked up mick from school. Ü

this girl looooooves dresses and heels. we've gotten into so many arguments cause i wouldn't let her wear the dress she wanted to wear. she has her favorites which means she likes wearing them over and over again. since i want her to wear her other outfits, tears are shed and "no mom! dress!" is heard throughout the house. =P she's such a DIVA!!! she's loooves to tell knock knock jokes. more like one knock knock. guess she wants to be funny like her big bro. =P her joke goes more like this:

maddie: ha ha

=P makes no sense like some of mick's knock knocks. =P she doesn't like mac and cheese anymore. she moved on to taquitos and chimichangas. =P she still likes nuggets and pizza though. =P her favorite words are "no", "mine" and "me". she finally grasped the me and you concept. she used to say you but point to herself. Ü guess it's cause when i say you to her, it means her. =P but now she knows she has to say me. Ü she recently started watching mickey mouse cartoons and she likes watching fantasia over and over again. she knows how to count to 10. Ü she's content with a piece of paper and a pen. she stole her brother's markers and wrote all over her hands (that's a first). =P she stamped her face with a heart stamp while we were on the way to a birthday party last saturday. =P and she still loooooves makeup! thanks marice for her new princess makeup kit. Ü

after mick got home from school, we went to get him and my dad fitted for suits. i stopped mick's kumon for the month of december just in case we end up going somewhere during the holidays. we might go to tahoe with my cousin before the new year for his son's birthday. Ü maddie's old enough to enjoy the snow now. anyways, gotta go. it's the season finale of heroes. Ü

i haven't felt like blogging lately. actually, it's more like i haven't felt like using the pc. haven't felt like taking pics too. *sigh* anyways, here's what we've been up to.

hmm...i think i dropped off my mom at work, went to the bank then picked up mick. he had kumon after school. when we got home, i helped a friend with her son's baptism/1st birthday invitation. Ü

helped my mom with ces' bridal shower giveaways. around 2:30pm we went to my cousin's daughter's 1st birthday party. we were there til 7pm i think. mick and i (and all the other kids too) had fun playing with my cousin's wii. that thing beats all the other video game consoles i've ever played! plus, you get to exercise at the same time. =P now that's the kid of exercise i could do everyday. Ü i soooo gotta get one of those. =P oh yeah...mick found his report card under the couch. how it got there...no clue. =P

sunday
ces' bridal shower. it was from 11:30am til 3pm i think? we got home around 3:30pm. it was fun. we played bridal bingo and the toilet paper wedding dresses. we also watched ces open her gifts. =P most of it was night gowns and victoria secret stuff. =P

totally forgot to mention that chewy died last night. when we got home from san mateo, she was lying in the driveway. we had her ever since 1994. think she was around 14 years old when she died. she wasn't really my dog. she was more of my parents'. my mom got her in the pound the day we found out my dog, lightning, was listed as doa (dead on arrival). so obviously, i never got attached to chewy. but she was a good dog. super friendly and despite her age and slight deafness, she still acted like a puppy at times. i remember how mick would pull on her fur when he was a baby and all she'd do was lick his hand. =P

finally! i was able to watch it earlier thanks to my uncle. he let me borrow the dvd today. =P after picking up mick, we went to circuit city then macy's. my mom was the babysitter for a couple hours. Ü maddie was taking her nap when we got home. =P all i gotta do tonight is finish a friend's invitation then watch gossip girl and life. Ü oh...the movie was pretty good considering how much i hate rodents. =P i was laughing so much throughout the movie. =P

i saw mick's report card yesterday when i picked him up from school. too bad it disappeared after i gave it to him. =0( we didn't know it was missing til after his kumon class. i wanted to scan it, but i realized that it wasn't in the report card envelope. grrrrr. guess i gotta write a note explaining why we can't return it. =P

ever since saturday night, i haven't been able to sleep well. since maddie has a slight cold and fever, she's been waking up a lot at night. at first, she'd wake up to ask for water. but last night, she'd wake up whining...sometimes even crying. then she'd tell me to go away. when i stand up, she'd start crying for me to stay. weird. i thought it might be her molars, but when i asked if her teeth hurt, she would say no. plus, i can't feel them yet. hopefully she sleeps better tonight. gotta go get ready now. we have to drop off a couple things to santi's friend's girlfriend who's in san mateo. bye!

ces always seems to be at the right place at the right time. she was walking behind jessica simpson and the pic was posted on people.com and while in greece, she saw the taping of the sisterhood of the traveling pants 2. =P anyways, she and narciso were in small store in chinatown yesterday afternoon and they bumped into nicolas cage. at first, she said that he looked a lot like him, but as soon as he spoke, it was a dead giveaway. =P she said they were huge fans and asked if they could take a pic. being the nice guy that he is, he said yes. Ü lucky bums!


maddie had a slight fever saturday night, so we stayed home the whole day yesterday. mick was out with my parents for most of the day. since maddie took a lot of naps, i ended up watching lotsa movies. =P i ended up watching stomp the yard twice cause i liked it so much. Ü

i've been sooo lazy to blog lately. it's probably cause i don't have anything to write about. =P that and the weather. =P i hate getting up in the morning cause it's too cold. i take super long showers now cause it's freezing when i get out. i soooo hate winter! *sigh*

today, we went to my mom's friend's house so i could fix her printer. then maddie and i went to carlos' birthday party at his house. i was supposed to go out with them last night, but i got lazy. =P it was too cold and i was watching ugly betty, grey's and october road online. Ü i forgot to watch it on thursday night. didn't think they'd show new episodes since it was thanksgiving. guess i was wrong. =P good thing i checked abc.com. Ü anyways, maddie was pretty got at carlos'. she was sleeping when we got there and woke up after an hour. by that time, jennifer and tati were getting ready to leave. we stayed til around 7pm i think then went to circuit city to see what they had left. they didn't have the stuff i was supposed to buy. =P oh well...i don't think i would've had the patience to stand in line yesterday. i was planning to stop by camille's place, but she was out. maddie and i ended up at wal-mart instead. =P we got home around 9:30pm. Ü

this morning, we watched the macy's thanksgiving day parade and the purina dog show like we did last year. =P then we went to my aunt's house around 3:30pm. it was a small get together. Ü maddie looooves wearing dresses so she got really excited when i told her we were going to a party. she chose her own outfit. =P we were telling her it was a bit too fancy, but she didn't wanna go unless she wore that dress. =P talk about arte! Ü as usual, there was lechon at my aunt's place. =P the first thing i ate when we got there was my dad's mechado. =P then i had a little turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. Ü we didn't get home til 9:45pm. i wanna go to circuit city tomorrow morning, but i don't know if i wanna line up outside. =P camille and nick said they would so i told her to get me something. Ü don't forget to email the pics from tonight too. Ü thanks! Ü oh...and thanks nick for the yummy sweet potato pie! =P


as for yesterday, i did exactly as i said...bank, library, circuit city and safeway. Ü mick borrowed a couple books and ps2 games while maddie borrowed 1 book. =P oh...and vista runs fine. i'm still missing one more program, but hopefully my cousin finds it soon. Ü

i'm almost done. =P i just need one more program. Ü i think my cousin has the cd. hopefully i can get vista running how i want to by tomorrow morning. =P i tested the parental controls earlier and i looooove it! mick can't even log into his profile since i blocked his access on school days. =P guess i'll go to bed now. i'll finish everything tomorrow morning. Ü oh...and sorry...no pics today. was too busy messing with the pc. =P gotta do a lot of stuff tomorrow too. forgot to return my library books which were due today, gotta go to the bank, check out something at the mall and gotta buy something for santi at circuit city.

all because of mick. i heard vista's parental controls were really good and that's the main reason i'm upgrading. mick has been sneaky lately. =P he logs on when i'm either sleeping or preoccupied with other things. he knows the rules...no pc on school days. i know...ever since the other pc broke, he hasn't been able to log online. but still...rules are rules. i let him play on the other pc, but since the lan card doesn't work...no internet. =P i'll try to install more games for him on the old one. Ü as for this pc...i'm taking the plunge. i know a lot of people don't like vista, but i didn't mind it on santi's laptop. and if i can monitor mick's internet usage...the better. he'll be home half the day tomorrow til monday next week. i've been burning files onto dvds the whole day yesterday and i finally finished now. wish me luck! if i don't log on for a few days, i guess it's cause i gotta reformat and reinstall xp. =P

because of the 2007 american music awards, there's no desperate housewives or brothers and sisters. =0( guess i'll just scrap since i wasn't able to earlier. i cleaned the room, placed my summer clothes in the closet and took out winter clothes, dumped stuff i didn't want anymore then went to selix to return mick's suit. i totally forgot it was supposed to be returned today til my mom mentioned it. =P she asked me around 2pm...selix closes at 4pm on sundays. =P since maddie was taking a nap, i took a shower and left the kids with my dad (ces picked up my mom to check out the florist). =P since i was out, i stopped by whole foods. i loooove trader joe's, but i think i wanna try whole foods too. Ü wish both stores were closer to us.

the fashion show lasted forrrreeeevvveeerrrrr! we got there around 3:40pm and didn't get home til 10pm. =P the fashion show part didn't start til 5 or 5:30pm. but still...it was a loooooong show! we had fun though. especially the kids. maddie wouldn't stop dancing and mick had fun playing with schoolmates. guess he didn't mind the runway either. =P all i gotta do tomorrow is return the suit and my schedule's back to normal. Ü i didn't take a lot of videos or pics cause i ordered a dvd. hopefully we get the dvd in a couple weeks. Ü a lot of family members also went like my aunts and uncles and even my grandma. =P three boys from the family joined...one being mick. =P i'll scrap about it tomorrow if i feel like it. =P gotta go to bed now. i was all over the place yesterday. went to 3 banks, the post office to mail invitations, picked up mick, dropped him and his classmate off to kumon, went to my mom's friend's house to drop off...yes...an invitation, picked up mick from kumon, went to selix to pick up mick's suit for tomorrow's fashion show, bought a few things at trader joe's then went home. we got home around 6pm, but i was tired! after watching ugly betty and grey's i went to sleep. wonder why big shots wasn't on. =0( *sigh* hope they don't cancel the show. it's funny. =P

today
i was a couch potato the whole day. =P watched movie after movie after movie with maddie's shows in between. =P my mom took mick to school and since he had chess and fashion show practice, i didn't have to leave the house! Ü my aunt offered to take him home after practice. Ü he got home around 7:15pm.

i've been too lazy to blog. plus, i haven't taken any pictures. =P but maddie's getting funnier and funnier everyday! she makes soooo many faces now. like, we'll be on the bed, then all of a sudden, she'll start busting out with funny faces! she'll have a shocked look...then a mad one...then a goofy one where she sticks her tongue out. she's such a riot! and she has such an attitude. sometimes i'll call her and she'll be like "what mom?" with an annoyed voice. like i'm bothering her. like she has something better to do than answer to me. =P diva! and there are days when she'll say "what mom?" so sweetly and she'll just hug and kiss me out of the blue. arrggghhh! she's sooo sweet and spicy! =P maybe i ate too much spicy food when i was preggy with her. bwahahaha! oh fine...i'll take a pic of the diva right now. =P i have no clue why she's wearing gloves. =P


by the way...congrats to my baby sis! since most of the invitations have been sent, i'd like to formally congratulate her on her upcoming wedding. Ü can't wait til december 16. =P

yesterday morning was maddie's dental appointment. she needed crowns on her right central incisor and right lateral incisor. it was the first time i waited for her in the waiting room. last time she needed fillings, i was right outside the door. i was sooo nervous cause i couldn't hear her crying. but as soon as she walked out with the dental assistant, i couldn't help but think how cute she looked with the cotton sticking outta her mouth. =P i just hope she won't mind going to the dentist again in 6 months for her check up. =P then in the afternoon, i left maddie with my parents while i took mick to kumon. when he was done, we went to the store for a while to pick up a few things. i fell asleep pretty early...around 10pm. i actually fell asleep for a few seconds while watching heroes. =P


today, maddie and i went to the post office then to the bank. we picked up mick, went home for a couple hours then went back to mick's school for his fashion show rehearsal. Ü i feel like such a soccer mom sometimes. =P

mick's gonna be in his school's fashion show next saturday. he gave me the information packet early this week and i failed to notice the fitting date til yesterday afternoon. =P he needed to get his fitting by november 10 at selix. good thing we got there by 4pm...an hour before they closed. =P and good thing my mom was home to watch maddie. =P after selix, we went to a few stores before heading home. Ü

today, we went to san francisco to meet my sister. then i had to drop off some stuff to a friend who's leaving on thursday. Ü on the way home, we stopped by the store again. =P i totally missed desperate housewives and brothers and sisters since i was busy on the computer. gotta add that to my to do list for tomorrow. maddie has a dentist appointment in the morning and mick has kumon in the afternoon. plus, i might meet my friend depending on my mom's schedule. =P hopefully she can watch the kids for a few hours. Ü

i felt like shopping this morning, so after dropping off mick, i went to two stores and the grocery...oh...and i tanked the car. gas is soooo expensive now! grrrr! anyways, i bought more taquitos at safeway cause maddie likes them now. =P she ate two sticks by herself for breakfast. =P i also bought stuff for my in-laws. Ü can't wait to start sewing again tomorrow. =P after my alone time shopping this morning, i bummed around at home til my mom picked us up to go to costco. mick had chess club so i didn't have to worry about picking him up til 6pm...which i didn't do cause my dad picked him up. =P everywhere i went, christmas songs played. not to mention all the christmas decorations. can't believe it's almost christmas again. hope you get us tickets sweetie. =P we'd looooove to see you! mmmwwaaahhh! Ü

it's starting to get reallllly cold. =0( i hate winter here! i hate wearing layers of clothes. the kids seem to like this kinda weather though. anyways, we didn't get to go to costco yesterday. guess i'll drag my mom tomorrow. i sooo need my own card. guess i'll get mick's medicine later while he's at kumon. oh...here's the picture i promised yesterday. Ü and jennifer finally emailed me the pics from carlos' graduation dinner. Ü

after picking up mick yesterday, i bought the kids mcdonald's then we went straight to sears so i could buy more bobbins for the sewing machine. and since his appointment was at 4pm, we had to kinda run through sears so he'd make his appointment on time. =P we got there exactly at 4pm. =P he's 83½ pounds and 53½ inches (4 feet, 5.5 inches). when the nurse took his temperature, he was 102°. didn't even know he had a fever! =P he was complaining about a headache the night before and had a slight fever. but when he woke up yesterday morning, he said he was feeling ok enough to go to school. anyways, i asked the doctor why he keeps on getting headaches. he said it's probably the common cold. instead of a runny nose though, he gets a cough that lasts a few weeks. the pedia said it's probably asthma. he prescribed something for his cough and told me he shouldn't go to school for a day or two. he even wrote a doctor's note for the school. =P we tried getting mick's medicine at the target near the house, but they didn't have a pharmacy. then my mom called and asked me to pick her up so we could meet ces. by the time we picked up my mom, maddie was going crazy. we ended up staying at home while my parents went to meet ces. oh yeah...get well soon ces! she found out she has bronchitis. =0(

all i've been doing today was sewing. =P almost done! mick has been resting and playing with his toys. he's playing chess on the old pc now. Ü this girl, on the other hand, is knocked out. she's sleeping on my shoulder while i type. =P all she did today was make a mess. =P gotta go clean up now and finish my sewing. i'll try to post a pic later. gotta go to costco and buy some food too. Ü ta ta for now.

yesterday morning, maddie had a pedia appointment. he wants to check her weight every couple of months. well...she gained 10 ounces in 2 months. =P but she did grow an inch since her last check-up. even if she's underweight, the pedia thinks she's just meant to be petite. =P

who knows?!?!? maybe she'll be the next top model. =P she was sooo behaved at the doctor's office. she let the nurse carry her to the measuring table. she lifted her shirt up without anyone telling her to when the pedia was gonna check her heart. Ü smart baby. and when it was time to get her flu shot, she just whined for a few seconds then whispered "ouch". =P no tears, no crying...nothing. Ü as we walked outta the office, she kept on whispering "ouch". tough girl. =P after her pedia, we went to her pedodontist cause i had to sign something for her appointment next week. then we went to the store and did a little shopping. Ü

mick didn't take as long as he usually does in kumon yesterday...thank goodness. we went with my dad to get another car part cause we found out the other cylinder was leaking. when we got home, i folded the two loads of clothes i kept putting off and cleaned the room. i wanted to start sewing stuff for maddie, but i wanted the room to be clean first. =P by the time it was ready, it was 9pm...heroes. =P i went to sleep right after. but as soon as i woke up today, i started sewing. i'm not yet done. gotta buy more bobbins. maybe i'll get some later after i pick up mick. he has a pedia appointment at 4pm cause he needs to get a flu shot too. =P

as soon as i clicked the publish post button last night, i realized that it was the 3rd of the month...maddie's monthsary. =P she turned 26 months yesterday and i totally forgot! =0( at least she had fun the whole day. Ü

she talks sooo much now. not just words, but sentences which i can understand most of the time. =P she likes to act silly and she likes it when i call her my lil' monkey. Ü yesterday, she was soooo independent. but when we're at home, she's sooooo dependent. =P i can't go to the bathroom without her. she's soooo demanding when it's just me and her. mick and her still bicker a lot. but if i scold her, she'll run to him or my parents. brushing her teeth is a bit easier now. i'd pin her down on the bed before. now...if she's in the mood...she'll let me brush her teeth in front of the bathroom mirror with a cup half full of water for her to spit out. Ü she can kinda count to ten. =P she loooves singing songs like "if you're happy and you know it" or "head, shoulder, knees and toes". she knows the land before time song "flip, flap and fly" since the music video's on the curious george dvd. she's getting better and better at taking pictures. oh...she likes mick's dvd, high school musical. =P she learned how to open doors by turning door knobs. Ü she likes playing with her stuffed animals. she talks to them and even pretends to feed them. =P she pretend plays now. like when we were at angel's house, she played with the disney princess tea set. =P hmmmm...there's sooo much she knows now. she learns stuff every day.

ever since 12 noon yesterday til 4am today, i was fixing the old pc. i got a used motherboard and cpu on ebay just so mick would having something to use when typing his homework or practicing chess. i reformatted the drive, installed win98, tried installing xp, reformatted again cause xp wouldn't work, installed 98 again, tried installing win2000, reformatted cause it wouldn't work, installed 98 then installed programs. =P of course in between that, i took apart the old ibm aptiva, took the cd-rom and the 4gb hard drive then installed it into the old pc. i didn't wanna sleep til it was perfect. oh...i was also up cause i was downloading all the necessary drivers. *sigh* i finally went to sleep when it was running ok. then this morning, mick tried installing his games and we ran into the blue screen of death. *sigh* i reformatted then tried to install xp one last time. =P didn't work. before we left for angel's birthday party, i reformatted the drive. now i'm up installing everything again. *sigh*

anyways, angel's party was sooo much fun. especially since maddie didn't even notice i was there. =P which meant i had lotsa free time to eat and chat. =P she played with angel's toys, played outside and she even let other people carry her! she fell asleep in my cousin's husband's arms! i was asking if she wanted me to take her and she'd pretend to sleep. every time she saw me, she would close her eyes. then ces came by with her two puppies. that's when she finally woke up. thanks jess for carrying her. Ü see...it's a sign that you and marice should have a baby girl. =P we ended up leaving my cousin's house around 9:45pm. =P she didn't wanna go home! she was even saying "bye mommy...bye". that's a first! she wanted to stay with angel. Ü thanks lon and annette! =P we had sooo much fun!

my dad said there was an after shook yesterday. =P we didn't feel it cause i think we were on the freeway. it was a 3.7 that hit before 4pm. and i read that 30 aftershocks hit after tuesday night's 5.6 quake. i hate earthquakes! scary! oh, forgot to mention that the car's finally fixed. my dad, maddie and i went around town on tuesday trying to find the right part. he thought that the problem was the break pads, but he found out that it was the master cylinder. it had a leak. i called around and all the places would still have to order the part. my dad wanted to finish it on tuesday since he had work on wednesday. Ü thanks papa! =P hmmm...what else have we been up to? today mick had kumon. =P he didn't finish til 4:45pm. he takes forever sometimes cause he doesn't do his packets when he's supposed to. which means we have to wait for him to finish his kumon homework in the car before he goes down for his kumon class. *sigh* ok...gotta go. it's couch potato time! =P

it was mick's walk-a-thon this afternoon. we bought some taco bell before going to his school since i knew he'd be starving. =P he's always hungry. the walk-a-thon didn't start til 1pm and it was supposed to last til 4ish. by 2pm, probably half of the kids were left. we left around 2:30pm and went with my mom to her printers to pick up invitations i made for her association thingy. they turned out ok. Ü not what i pictured, but it was ok. =P we left the printers before 4pm then headed to the mall...the same mall the kids and i went to last year. Ü this time, radio disney was the sponsor. we were there til 7pm. the kids had fun. we only went around half of the mall cause mick was more interested in the radio disney booth. he was the first one to line up for the spinning thing. he got a poster and a bag with disney tatoos and candy. they also gave away dvds to karaoke participants and the kids who joined the mini parade. =P mick didn't do any since he supposedly forgot the words to high school musical and was too embarrassed to join the parade. =P so instead, he volunteered us (meaning me and him) for a game. we ended up winning since the dad/daughter team kinda quit half way cause the little girl started crying. =P i had to wrap mick in toilet paper like a mummy then he had to do the cha cha slide. =P when he was done, he got a goosebumps dvd. Ü i should have gotten something too since i got dizzy running around mick. =P oh well...at least he had fun. Ü after mick's dancing, a lot of other kids started dancing...including miss bumble bee. =P guess she was hyper from all of the candy she ate. mick got a lot from the walk-a-thon and they both got a lot from the stores. almost all the stores gave out candy. =P ok...i'm tired. i was supposed to post this earlier, but i've been busy doing someone's invitation. =P can't disclose who yet. Ü

whoa! scary! just minutes ago, a 5.6 magnitude quake hit our area! it brought back memories of the 1989 quake. that was waaay worse, but still...an earthquake is an earthquake. i was gonna duck and cover under the computer table with maddie, but mick was on the other side of the house. i was yelling for him, but he didn't respond. thought he was sleeping so i ran to the living room and we went outside. by the time we were in the driveway, the quake stopped. scaaaary! think it was the first earthquake that i felt since 1989. there was one in the philippines, but i didn't feel it. santi even woke me up to ask if i felt it. =P i just hope i don't feel another one tonight or tomorrow or any time while i'm alive. =P swear...i can remember the 1989 one like it was yesterday. we lived in my paternal grandma's house when it happened. it was two-story and my sisters and i were coloring upstairs in our room. all of a sudden, the house started swaying. i got up and went under the door frame. my sisters were still lying on the floor coloring. =P i told them to get up cause it was an earthquake. we ran down the stairs (i know you're not supposed to do that, but hey...i was 9 then =P) and it felt like we were on a boat. we were rocking back and forth while running down. everyone in the house, except my cousin, ran outta the house. that whole night, we all slept downstairs in the living room. i slept under the table. =P there were soooo many aftershocks that night. *sigh* i soooo don't wanna experience that ever again!

i was busy designing an invitation earlier so i totally missed heroes. =0( guess i'll watch it tomorrow. maddie and i went with my mom to a few places this afternoon with ces. we got home around 7:30pm. as soon as we got home, we ate then i edited a few things on the pc. gotta run a few errands tomorrow too. hopefully my dad changes the brake pads of the car by the time i have to pick up mick. Ü night!

happy anniversary sweetie! thanks for the new sewing machine! Ü can't wait to use it! gotta make maddie a few things. =P can't believe we've been married for 8 years. we were a couple 2 years before that. wow...we've been together for a decade! craaaazy! =P we've probably spent a total of 2 or 3 annivs physically together. hopefully we get to celebrate next year's together. =P oh...we gotta take more pics of just me and you. =P it was sooo hard finding one that i liked of us. it's either you're making a face or we're with the kids.
