my m&m's

i've been trying to unpack since monday. maddie's clothes are pretty much where they're supposed to be. i even set aside some stuff for julia, placed the other stuff in a bag for goodwill and stored all her winter stuff in a big plastic bin. it's still hot here so i even stored mine and mick's long sleeves and sweaters. =P hopefully that leaves me enough drawer space for the rest of the clothes in the two balikbayan boxes. =P i've already washed two loads of laundry...got one more to do today. gotta make a phone call regarding a missed appointment while i was away. gotta file all my mail and organize mick's school stuff. *sigh* wish mine and maddie's jet lag would go away. my dad starts work tomorrow so i'll have to take mick to school and pick him up. i'm scared i'll end up missing his dismissal. =P


hmmm....what else is new. i went to mick's school last night for parents' night. Ü his new teacher is funny. she likes to give treats to the kids. she even offered all the parents candy after the meeting. =P too bad i'm not into licorice. =P oh...maddie has a renewed obsession with barney again. guess all the disney movies non-stop in the philippines made her miss the purple dinosaur. =P and instead of helping me with the unpacking, she ends up making me laugh. she'll take her shoes, put them on, then she'll take either one of my shirts or hers and wear it. then she'll walk to the door and tell me she wants to go out. =P i would've let her if it weren't for the fact that it was midnight. =P can't believe she's turning 2 on monday! think we'll take her to the jungle and have some pizza there. i wanna get her an ice-cream cake too. we'll see. Ü

we're back! can't believe we're back again! =0( we arrived around 8pm last night. maddie was pretty good on the plane. she only whined once during the entire flight. Ü we got home around 9pm, slept at 2am then woke up at 5:45am. mick had to go to school today, so he won't have jet lag. but maddie and i slept at 10am then woke up again at 1:45pm. we picked up mick, went to the grocery then she took a nap from 6 til 8pm i think. she was knocked out! =P we love and miss you sants! =0*

thursday (august 23)
santi, maddie and i went with my mom to check out houses and condos in alabang and makati. maddie had soooo much fun! she kept on running around and climbed the stairs at all the model units. =P around 6 or 7pm, we had dinner at greenbelt 3 then went home. the traffic was suuuuuper bad! we got home around 10:30-11pm that night.


friday (august 24)
we went to makati with the kids to drop off a laptop then headed straight to q.c. since we were going clubbing. my mom was the designated babysitter that night. =P after dropping off mick at my cousin's house and getting my makeup done by cris, we dropped off maddie to my mom then headed to alchemy around 12:30am. we had a blast! Ü we picked up maddie around 4am then got home around 5am. Ü


saturday (august 25)
since we were tired from the night before, we woke up late...like around 11am. =P around 4:30pm, santi and i got a massage and facial at sen...something. =P i liked it even more than i liked zeus. Ü santi did too. Ü as soon as we got home around 7pm, my mom and ces arrived. we had to meet my aunt for dinner at glorietta. after our dinner at dad's, we went to aruba on tomas morato to watch my friend, ness, perform. Ü after both his sets, we headed to the fort around 1:30am. we met up with his friend, rodel, at jaipur then had an early breakfast at cafeteria. ces and i got back to bf around 6am. =P the sun was out and santi's dad was gardening. =P


sunday (august 26)
i slept til 10am, picked up a few things then packed. ces went to atc i think to buy a few things as well. =P the day she arrived, we went shopping...the day she left, she was still shopping. =P santi's parents ordered jolibee chicken and pizza for dinner and drago and margot gave me and the kids an ice-cream cake. thanks guys! i know, i know, i know. i laaaaaag! i've been busy...and a bit lazy. =P more like super lazy. =P hopefully i can remember everything we did this past week. all i know is that hong kong was exhausting! Ü soooo many things to do there.

tuesday (august 14)
we arrived in hong kong around 6pm. we got lost in the airport while looking for our tour guide booth. =P the airport was soooo nice though. they have a crispy creme, burger king, 7-11 and soooo much more right when you get out of the baggage gate. Ü we ended up at our hotel around 8pm cause we were waiting for the rest of the group. all we did that first night was walk around the hotel, buy a few things then go to sleep since we had to wake up early the next day.

wednesday (august 15)
we went to waterfront, took some pictures, then to a jewelry factory then lastly to a factory that had pasalubongs before going to...drum roll please...DISNEYLAND!!! woohoooo! yes, it's a lot smaller than disney l.a. and even more tiny compared to disneyworld, but who cares! disneyland is disneyland no matter which one you go to. you end up feeling like a kid again. Ü the first thing we did was eat lunch. we went to the first restaurant we saw...maxim's. talk about expeeeeennnnnsive! as soon as we finished, we checked out the rides. since all the lines were long, we got fast passes for all the rides we could. Ü then we went on the pirate boat ride. maddie fell asleep while we were in line, so we tried waking her up during the ride. =P she was knocked out. =P she woke up after we took pics with mickey mouse while we were on the buzz lightyear ride. =P that whole day, she would stay awake for 3-4 hours then take a nap. =P we all had fun though...especially while watching the fireworks at 9pm. i had goosebumps while watching the show. =P


thursday (august 16)
we left the hotel around 8am to go to ocean park. Ü we were there from 10am til 5pm but half the day was spent standing under shade since it was raining kinda hard. =0( oh well...at least mick had a blast. he ended up getting soaked, but he didn't care. =P after finally convincing santi to buy cheap plastic ponchos, we made our way to the pick up point. but before reaching the exit, santi and mick rode on the log jump. they were already a bit wet, so they didn't care if they got even wetter. =P good thing the rain stopped while maddie and i waited for them. but as soon as they got to us, it started raining. =P after meeting our tour guides, we headed to a hotel to met the rest of the group. we went to the ladies' market then to victoria peak to look at the view and check out the wax museum. Ü we got back to the hotel around 11pm.


friday (august 17)
our last day in hong kong and all we did was sleep in til 9am then go shopping around the ladies' market. =P santi bought lotsa shirts, mick got a pair of jeans and maddie got a hello kitty coin purse. =P me, you ask? =P i was happy with 2 pieces of guylien chocolate at the airport. =P good thing our flight wasn't postponed or re-routed to subic that night. it was raining really bad ever since we left manila til the day we got back from hong kong. =P


saturday (august 18)
bummed around at home since we were all exhausted from the trip. we were supposed to go to qc around 3:30pm, but we left bf around 7pm =P we got to my cousin's son's birthday party at 8pm. Ü no one was really there by the time we got there. we ate then left around 10pm. mick ended up sleeping at my cousin's house so he could play with his cousins.

sunday (august 19)
julia's baptism! Ü we went to st. james around 2:30pm. right when we got there, the speaker began. =P the food was yummy at the reception. Ü after eating and hanging out a bit, we went home for a few minutes then went to the 6:30pm mass. then santi's friends met us at the house and we went drinking at laiya. Ü i ended up leaving around 1am cause i got a text saying maddie woke up. thanks melo and mike for picking me up! Ü good thing i left early. everyone got drunk cause they ordered more pitchers after i left. =P when i got home, the house was silent so i brushed my teeth, changed my clothes then went to sleep. =P thanks krissy and michelle for watching maddie! Ü


monday (august 20)
since santi and i were wasted, we totally forgot to wake up to pick up my mom. her plane arrived at 4am. we ended up picking her up around 6:30am. =P sorry mom! Ü santi and i went back to sleep as soon as we got home. around 2pm, i took my mom to california nails while santi, maddie and i went to the grocery. around 8pm, my grandma arrived with ces and mick (he slept over at my cousin's again on sunday night) to pick up my mom. ces and i went out with my friend, ness, and his friend, greg. we met them at 19east, watched a couple of bands, then headed to greenbelt 3. Ü it was ladies' night at ice vodka. Ü ces ended up sleeping at my place that night. =P



yesterday
hmmmm...what did we do? oh yeah...it was santi's dad's birthday! Ü i slept a lot yesterday. even maddie took lotsa naps. =P weird how the more you sleep, the more lazy you feel. =P we had dinner at home since there was lotsa food (like lechon, prawns, sushi, forgot the rest =P).


today
went to atc to meet up with my college friends. we ate at tokyo tokyo then talked a bit. we usually end up talking for hours, but wawi had to stop by her office and li had to sleep. =P we went to national to get mick's school supplies. Ü after, santi treated me, mick and himself to a pair of crocs. Ü now all of us have a pair. Ü oh yeah...we're leaving for the u.s. this sunday so i think i'll be busy til we leave. Ü

we've been soooo busy ever since we got here. =P we even got lost at the airport when we arrived on tuesday! =P anyways, i'll post about our whole trip as soon as we get back tomorrow night if i'm not too tired. Ü we went to disney hong kong yesterday, so i'll leave you with one picture. gotta get ready for our trip to ocean park. Ü

wednesday
august 8 is tessa's birthday. since it was raining sooo hard tuesday night til wednesday morning, classes were suspended. ces and i went to 3 banks, dropped off laundry, paid for the hong kong hotel then met with krissy, chu and tessa at atc. santi stayed home with the kids. =P ces shopped a bit then we all watched rush hour 3. after the movie, ces shopped some more and we headed home around 7 or 8pm. santi ended up taking mick to watch rush hour 3 around 9pm. =P boys night out again. Ü while the boys were out, ces tried on the clothes she got camille so we could take pictures and send them to her. maddie did the same thing and started taking out my shirts and wearing them. then she wanted me to take pics of her. =P arte!!!


thursday
another birthday! Ü it's drago's birthday august 9. ces observed santi's dad at the dentist around 7 or 8am. then around 11pm, we went to makro with santi and maddie. =P then i took her to redz salon for a spa pedicure and to get her legs waxed. when we got home, everyone was there. Ü after eating a big dinner which included yellow cab pizza, duck, liempo and squid, i took her to ruins to get some dvds. Ü


friday
ces was supposed to observe santi's aunt, but we ended up going to the fort. i thought we'd be able to walk around a bit, but santi had to get back to bf right away. =0( so ces, maddie and i just saw the fort through the car window. =P while santi did his banking, we ate at pancake house. after our late lunch, we dropped off santi and maddie, picked up mick then headed to 3 malls. =P we didn't come home til the shops closed at 9pm. Ü

saturday
saturday was pretty busy. i did santi's banking, gave something to the travel agent, dropped off ces at the nearby dentist around 1pm, picked her up around 2:30pm and went to a 1 year birthday party at atc with santi's mom. maddie was a poop machine that day. santi's mom thought it was amebiasis. so after the party, we picked up medicine then headed home. ces and i were supposed to go back to atc as soon as maddie fell asleep, but i also fell asleep for a while. =P so around 7:30pm, we went to atc to pick up birthday presents for lj's 1st birthday party. we got home around 8:30pm, then got ready for a night out in makati cause my childhood friend, ness, invited us to a bar. last time ces and narciso were here, i took them out to watch his band perform. that was the last time i saw him too. =P we ended up going home around 2am.


sunday
i woke up around 7am to get ready for our trip to tarlac. when i went upstairs to check on ces, she was still in bed. =P we ended up leaving the house around 8:30am and got to tita baby's an hour later. =P good thing the kids were asleep in the car. Ü from tita baby's, we stopped by cris' to pick up the rest of the kids then headed to tarlac. everyone kept on saying the trip would be 4 or 5 hours long. it only took us 2 hours. Ü maddie was pretty good the whole time. the only time she lost it was when i drove back to bf. good thing she ended up falling asleep again after 15 minutes of crying. =P ces picked up her stuff then went with boogie back to tita baby's. Ü i was soooo tired that i took a bath and fell asleep around 9pm. =P


as for today, all i wanna do is sleep. Ü gotta pack too for our hong kong trip tomorrow. Ü gotta also see if i can extend my ticket. i'm having problems with the extension and the agent even said it's invalid already. *sigh* we'll see what happens. told santi that if i can't fix it, we might as well stay here. =P oh...there's more pics, but i forgot to upload them from ces' camera. =0( hopefully i'll get to this sunday. let's start with yesterday. i did santi's banking and had to drive around in the rain. it was the first time it rained soooo hard since we've been here. when i got home 2 hours later, i found maddie sleeping in the play area all by herself. =P she fell asleep while santi and her watched a dvd. later in the evening, julia came over. maddie looooves playing with her. she likes to kiss julia's feet. =P after awhile, she got a bit bored and started to take out some pots and pans. she was pretending she was cooking while ate merle cooked. =P

then today, santi, maddie and i woke up really early to pick up ces from the airport. i was awake by 3:30am while santi and maddie woke up around 4:30am. we went home, ate breakfast, talked a while then maddie and i took an hour nap before we left for the mall around 10am. we, ces, maddie and i, went shopping for 4 hours. =P as soon as she got into her car seat, she asked for her coloring book and crayons then fell asleep. ces has a picture of her sleeping while the coloring book was on her face. =P i'll upload it tomorrow. we rested for a few hours then ces and i went to a travel agency to book a hotel package for hong kong. after, we went to ice monster. Ü

world breastfeeding week is celebrated during the first week of august. i totally forgot to post this on august 1. =P yes...i'm still nursing maddie...and no...i haven't even tried weaning while i was here in the philippines. =P i soooo have to start night weaning soon. Ü

all i did last night til 4am this morning was surf the net for hotels in hong kong. soooo many choices! if we had the money to spend, we'd probably stay at a nicer place. *sigh* oh well...we'll be gone for most of the day anyways. Ü if anyone knows of a clean, cheap hotel, just leave a comment. Ü

whatta day! we were supposed to meet up with santi's pilot friends at mall of asia around 6pm, but i got stuck at the airport. i finally got our hong kong tickets, but it took me 3½ hours just to get it. 2 hours waiting for my number then the rest of the time was getting the tickets. the guy messed up which caused most of the delay. =0( i was looking forward to going to mall of asia especially since maddie turned 23 months. *sigh* oh well...at least we have hong kong to look forward to. Ü

maddie started the day with a morning dip in the pool. =P just when i remembered to take pics, she went into the room...soaking wet and everything. =P this girl is such a riot sometimes! especially when it's almost time for bed. she'd run around in circles or throw herself on the bed and start giggling. Ü she moves around soooo much when she sleeps...just like her big bro. =P she takes up most of the bed! =P hhhmmmm...she still loves to open drawers and cabinets. recently, she started to take my high heels out of the shoe box and she'd wear it around the house. =P whatta girly girl! she also likes to put on my brown blouse and black tank top with a gold beaded design. *sigh* fashionista in the making. =P she has an attitude problem too. =P she likes to roll her eyes and say "aaggghhh" whenever she doesn't get her way. then she'll walk out of the room with her arms crossed. hopefully she grows out of that attitude soon.

we're supposed to leave in a week, but i think my parents and ces will be here soon. =P guess i'll just wait til one of them has a definite departure date before i call to rebook our tickets. Ü anyways, santi and maddie had a father daughter moment earlier. as soon as maddie heard his voice when he got home from his errands, her face lit up and she started screaming "da". Ü she ran outside to greet him and made him sit in the play area with her so they could watch beauty and the beast. Ü while walking back to the room, i saw her get comfy on his lap. after 15 minutes, i went outside to get water and saw them in the same position. Ü i had to get my camera! =P after i took a bath, maddie and i fell asleep. when we woke up, santi fell asleep. =P whatta sleepy day. Ü

i did santi's banking today and got to drive outside of bf. Ü that's a first ever since i got back. =P i missed driving my old car. i also missed having a working radio. Ü *note to self...install the radio (my dad's christmas gift 3 or 4 years ago) into the benz. =P i kinda missed driving here. Ü the traffic, the chaos, the absence of lanes. =P i even got to practice my parking. i used to loooove parking back first. but in the u.s., everyone's always in a hurry. here, i get to take my time. =P anyways, after all the banking was done, i was thinking about going to the mall. but for some reason, i couldn't think of anything i needed to buy. =P i ended up going to brother's burger to pick up some food then headed home. when i walked into the house, maddie was asleep on krissy's lap...as in mouth open and everything. =P swear...that girl cracks me up! she pronounces milk, mahk. =P hahaha. i try to correct her, but she says mahk even louder. Ü then earlier, she was playing with the old cd player. as soon as she heard the first song on a cd, she'd say no and look for another cd. =P *sigh* this girl is such a character! as for mick, he's starting to turn into jughead jones. he's always hungry! as soon as he finished his burger, he tried to eat mine and santi's. *sigh* my growing boy.
