my m&m's

i finally enrolled mick today. Ü he missed 3 half days and 1 full day. =0( what a way to start the new school year! he was late also last year. =0( *sigh*

anyways, after enrolling mick, i went shopping. not just any shopping...back to school shopping. Ü i loooooove buying school supplies. i loooove buying new pens, pencils, erasers, crayons, notebooks, folders...anything related to office and/or school supplies. Ü i spent an hour walking down each aisle at staples. as soon as i walked in, i had to control myself from buying unnecessary things. my original plan was to go down mick's school supply list in order so i don't forget anything. ha! what a plan! i found myself skipping items, then starting all over again at the top. Ü i had soooo much fun! Ü

today was also the first mandatory parent meeting. after listening to mick's new teacher, i knew this year would be different. i have a feeling mick will be busy doing school work...as in BUSY! Ü i also signed up on the chess committee as my family service this year since mick mentioned last year that he wanted to join the chess club. Ü

as for maddie, she's feeling a lot better. her fever went away yesterday after they gave her a suppository. she's still very clingy and, i think, jet-lagged. i'm not sure if it's jet-lag or if it's her sleeping schedule. she woke up around 7am and didn't take a nap til 2pm. since we had to leave by 2:30pm, her nap was interrupted when i put her into her car seat. she ended up falling asleep on the way to mick's school, but woke up when we got outta the car. she continued her nap on the way home. so from 4pm til 8:30pm she was asleep. she woke up for an hour and now she's still sleeping. *sigh* that means she'll be up around 3am again. =0(

arrrrgggghhhh! i'm beyond exhausted. ever since saturday...actually, ever since i got back from the philippines, i haven't had a decent night's sleep. the most i've slept straight is 3 hours. but starting saturday, since we were gone the whole day, i thought i'd be able to adjust to the time again. boy was i wrong! i slept around 12 midnight on saturday, woke up around 2-3am sunday morning and ever since sunday, i haven't slept more than an hour except for this afternoon. i couldn't sleep cause of maddie's high fever...plus, every time she fell asleep in my arms and i would go back into bed to sleep with her, she'd wake up. =0(

so this morning and afternoon we went to maddie's pedia. we had to go twice cause the pedia's father passed away and called in around 10am. maddie's appointment was 10am, so i was on the way already. the nurse weighed her (18 pounds) and measured her (28½ inches) and took her temperature (101.5°F). i told her that everytime i gave maddie medicine she'd throw it up, so she gave me suppositories and asked us to come back around 1:30pm. when we went back, the substitute pedia checked maddie's temperature (102.2°F), mouth, throat and ears. he told me that she had a virus cause her tonsils were a bit aggravated and red. that totally explains why she doesn't wanna eat...only nurse. he also took a swab of her throat to make sure she doesn't have strep throat or something. anyways, the nurse gave her a suppository and the pedia said to check her temperature again after 4 hours. if it's still high, i'd have to give her another suppository. good thing her fever went away. Ü plus, i was able to nap from 3-6:30pm. Ü i hope we can sleep well tonight. Ü i have to wake up early tomorrow to drop mick off to school and enroll him. Ü

maddie has a fever. =0( she woke up to nurse and when i felt her, she was sooooo warm. =0( maybe it's from her teething? her upper tooth is visible, but it hasn't broken the gums yet.

finally! home at last! the kids and i woke up around 5am, got ready around 7:30am and left the house around 9am. first, we dropped mick off at the dentist while we went to san mateo to pick up some stuff. we went back to the dentist and i had my teeth cleaned. we visited lj, narciso's 8 day old nephew. maddie had fun playing with danielle's toys. Ü then we went to a birthday party at tita neddie's house. mick's probably over his jet-lag since he was up the whole time. as for maddie, she was awake most of the day, but by 4 or 5pm, she was knocked out. she's still sleeping til now!

ces bought maddie a pair of shoes before we left for the philippines in july. she ended up returning it for a bigger size. thanks ces! don't they look adorable on maddie?!? Ü

thanks to this kikay exchange post, i ended up ordering the free sample kit and a baby kabuki brush from everyday minerals makeup. i ordered it on monday around 10:47pm (u.s. time) and received it today. Ü i just loooove the u.s. postal service! Ü hmmm...wonder if i need anything on ebay??? Ü

while typing my previous post, the 11 o'clock news mentioned that apple recalled 1.8 million sony batteries. so to all those apple owners, *ehem* camille, please check your battery model.

a record breaking 4 posts in one day! hehehe. isn't it obvious how much i missed my computer?!?! Ü

i missed my dad's cooking while we were in the philippines. Ü good thing he cooked one of my favorite dishes for dinner...beefsteak. Ü thanks dad!

i guess we have jet-lag. we, maddie and i, slept around 1-2am and woke up around 6am. went back to sleep around 9am and woke up around 1pm. maddie fell asleep around 3-4pm which was good since i wanted to take a bath, wash the dishes and surf the net. Ü as for mick, he slept around 2am, woke up around 5am and slept again around 9am...and he's still asleep. *sigh*

can't believe i haven't posted pics of maddie or mick in more than a week! anyways, here's a picture timeline of what's been happening. Ü

our weekend was pretty busy. we had to go to q.c. on saturday for alex's 2nd birthday. then yesterday was my godson's baptism. Ü when we got home from church, i was surprised to see sooo many people at the house for the joint celebration, kurt's baptism and santi's dad's advanced birthday party. Ü happy birthday tatay!

we went to alabang town center yesterday to meet my college friends, wawi and lili. Ü we ended up eating at cpk since mick wanted to eat there. Ü what can i say?!?! my son has great taste. Ü after dinner, we went to the grocery to pick up a few things. as soon as maddie was strapped into her car seat, she was asleep! Ü guess she was tired from making pacute the whole time. Ü i'll post pics later when i upload them all. Ü i've been busy extending our tickets and following up on a few things. Ü

we had dinner at hula hula last tuesday. thanks dennis! Ü while waiting for our food, maddie was playing on top of the table like she did last time. and guess what?!?! one of the waitresses remembered her! but what she said got me worried...do i have a mick number 2 on my hands? *shivers of terror*

after almost one year, aunt flo came to visit. yes...the monthly visitor...the crimson tide. =0( i thought that i was just spotting at first...but alas. =0( waaaaaahhhhhh!

yesterday we had lunch at hula hula seafood and barbecue house. the food was great and the price was reasonable (except for the drinks). Ü after, jill and i had pictures developed while krissy got a hair cut...actually...more of a trim. Ü i've been dying to get a short cut, but i can't seem to find "the" cut i want. hhhmmm...whatcha think of these two?

maddie's not the only baby in the house anymore. Ü congrats menchu!

i've been busy ever since we got back from cebu. *sigh* busy emailing, calling and trying to extend our tickets for another week. Ü i haven't taken any new pics of maddie ever since our bacolod/cebu trip. guess i'm triggered out. Ü

oh...santi, mick and i watched click last night. i think that's my most favorite adam sandler movie. Ü thanks mama for babysitting maddie! Ü

it seems like i haven't blogged in ages. Ü we arrived tuesday afternoon and yet i haven't posted a thing...not a single thing. *shakes head in disbelief* whenever i touch the computer in the boys' room, mick would walk in every 5 minutes asking if i was done. as for the comp in our room, santi missed it sooo much that he had to lavish his beloved computer with undivided attention. plus, as soon as we got back to manila, i've been busy making phone calls, emailing and editing photos for maddie's upcoming birthday party. *sigh* guess this post will be kinda long. Ü


our first day was a veeeeeery loooooong day. since our flight was at 5:15am, i had to wake up santi and the kids by 3am since we had to leave by 3:30am. it didn't help much that i only had 2 hours of sleep. santi and the kids were up til midnight as well. maddie woke up at 3am, went back to sleep for 30 minutes, woke up while we were waiting for our flight and slept again 10 minutes before we landed in cebu. all i know is that after she went swimming in the afternoon, she was sooooo exhausted that she fell asleep with a french fry in her hand while on our way to dinner. she even slept through the entire dinner and stayed asleep for a total of 12 hours. Ü


day 2 was a bit more relaxing. we were able to relax a bit at tita tess' house after eating a delicious lunch. around 5pm, we went to mambucal mountain resort. all we did was relax in the hot wading pool. Ü oh yeah...thanks tita tess for my very first pair of havaianas! Ü


the following day, we took a 3 hour car ride to the port then a 1 hour ferry ride to cebu. Ü in moalboal, we met the rest of santi's maternal relatives. Ü mick lost his first tooth as soon as we got to the house thanks to santi. Ü the previous four were extracted. Ü


on day 4, we went to basdaku and panagsama beach. Ü it was maddie's first time in the sand. Ü at first, she didn't wanna move. she'd look at the sand then whine to be picked up. Ü she went swimming for 10-15 minutes then wanted to get out. guess she likes pools better? Ü right before we left, i wanted her to try finer sand. she actually enjoyed it! she enjoyed it sooo much, she decided to eat the sand! hehehe. Ü after basdaku, we had a snack at panagsama beach's last filling station. santi and mick also went swimming at some resort near there. Ü


our last stop was my favorite place in cebu. Ü plantation bay. Ü we had a scrumptious buffet dinner. mmmmmm. the prawns were soooo good! now my mouth's watering. Ü anyways, we went swimming the next morning and headed back to manila in the afternoon. wish we could've stayed longer, but maddie's party plans mixed with santi's pgx obligations wouldn't allow it. *sigh* oh well...there's always a next time. Ü

greetings from moalboal, cebu! Ü wish i could post some of the pics jill and i took. Ü guess that'll have to wait. all of us are having a blast. maddie's just like her big bro...she looooooves to swim! Ü we went to mambucal in bacolod last night and enjoyed the hot springs. Ü the day before that, we went swimming at palmas del mar since tita tess booked us a room there. Ü we were soooo exhausted on our first day (our flight was at 5:15 am on thursday), that as soon as we got back to the room after dinner, we all went to sleep. maddie was even asleep throughout dinner! Ü she slept 12 hours that night. Ü anyways, gotta go. til next time! Ü

less than 5 hours til our flight to bacolod and i'm still awake! i.need.to.sleep. or at least take a nap for a couple hours. have to wake up by 3am so we can leave by 3:30am. arrrggghhhh!

anyways, i'll try to post stuff while we're gone. have no clue when we're coming back since we don't have a return ticket. Ü since i'm online now and blogging, i might as well talk about what we did today...err...yesterday. Ü we had an early dinner at don henrico's before we went shopping. Ü i bought more sandos, 2 pairs of shoes and 2 bibs for maddie and a shirt, sandals and socks for mick. Ü oh...i also bought a ringsling made by my sister-in-law's friend. Ü now i have a:

santi didn't want me to get the ringsling, but i had to. Ü i wanna collect baby wearing stuff i guess. Ü *sigh*

maddie's 11 months today! whatta character...my little diva! Ü she's always trying to stand up by herself now. she'll pull herself to a standing position then let go of whatever she used (like a table, leg, chair, etc.). she loooooves to tease people. like she'll reach out for someone, then when the person reaches for her, she'll turn away. hmm...what else? think i'll just continue maddie's 11 month milestones when i get back. as i mentioned earlier...i.need.to.sleep. Ü tata for now! Ü

maddie and i accompanied santi during his bank rounds yesterday. since mick wasn't feeling well, he decided to stay home. after going to three banks, we ate a late lunch at max's chicken then went to makro. Ü i was trigger happy the whole day yesterday. Ü think i took like 35+ pics and 2 videos. Ü
