i haven't been able to post cause i've been too addicted to pokemon. and by the time i do go online, i end up either tweaking a template or surfing. =P so here's what's been happening...

sunday
since it was mick's last day before he started school again (after a week of bumming at home) and since i promised him we'll try one, i finally ordered online for a meat lover's cheesy bites pizza. Ü i remember seeing the commercial a loooong time ago and wanting one. by the time i called for delivery, they no longer had it on the menu. i looooove the cheesy bites part. Ü yuuuummmmyyyy! we ended up watching tv on the big screen while playing pokemon. =P

monday
i was busy yesterday. after dropping off mick, i went to the library to return my books. i stayed in the parking lot to read for a while before meeting my dad at the bank (the bank opens at 9am). Ü after depositing his check, i went to the grocery to buy my mom some fruit. since i was near the gas station, i decided to fill up my tank. i had a little less than ½ a tank but it cost me $30 to fill it up! i have to use the highest octane type so it's $2.95 per gallon. supposedly, gas is gonna increase. grrrrr! oh well...at least i don't have an suv or v8 car. =P after filling up my tank, i went home for an hour and left again around 11am. good thing my mom was home to watch maddie. i hate taking maddie out when it rains. i went to circuit city to get price adjustments. Ü i love the 30 day price guarantee! Ü i got home just in time for all my children. =P since maddie took her afternoon nap around 1pm she was still asleep by the time i had to leave to pick up mick. i left her with my mom again and when mick and i got home, she was still asleep. Ü

today
gotta go to fry's. then right after i pick up mick, we gotta go to the pedia since maddie has a check up. her lymph nodes are still a bit swollen so i wonder what the pedia will say. i still think it's cause of her teeth. oh well. i'll update you guys later. then later tonight i have to go to a meeting at mick's school. every family has 40 hours worth of family service to do every year. i haven't completed one for this year. i was supposed to be a chess club moderator, but my mom couldn't watch maddie every saturday. i had to back outta that position and now i'm on the food and decoration committee for the dinner dance this saturday. =P i'll be busy this week.

oh yeah...i think maddie's addicted to directv now. =P she loves to sit on the sofa in the family room and watch nick jr. or BabyFirstTV. we watch a show or two and end up going to the room to play. Ü and this diva is very demanding. whenever she has something new, like a bag or dress, she says "wow" and makes everyone else say wow too! =P like she'll turn to my mom and show off her new thing and wait til my mom says wow. then she'll go to mick and do the same thing til he says wow. then she'll scream "papa" for my dad to go and look too til he says wow. DIVA!




my dad got annoyed one night and ended up making his own cabinet lock. =P

i've been playing non-stop since yesterday afternoon. =P i left maddie with my mom so mick and i could go to happy buffet to meet his stayin' alive classmates. Ü then we went to the grocery and to the bank before heading home. my mom was supposed to go to work, but maddie wasn't cooperating. =P by the time my mom was ready, it was 4pm. she ended up bumming around the house with us. when my dad got home and since it was friday (no meat), he cooked ginataang hipon. =P hey ces...there's still some left. Ü not sure if it'll last til tomorrow though. hehehe. as soon as i woke up today, i played. i beat the elite four and now i'm discovering the other side of the map. Ü around 4pm, i got bored and cooked pizza and mac and cheese for the kids...then we became couch potatoes. Ü gotta call directv tomorrow cause while we were watching "when a stranger calls", the screen froze! none of the channels worked! and to think, it was the last 10 minutes of the movie! =0( by the time i unplugged the receiver and booted it up, we saw the last minute of the movie. =0( grrrrrr! now i gotta check when the next showing is. =0(

maddie's been trying to copy what i say. she sounds sooo cute. she can say up when she wants to go on the bed or couch. oh...her lower cuspids are finally out. the one on her right came out a couple of days ago and the one on her left broke her gums sometime around monday i think. =P

it's thursday again. Ü my favorite day of the week. but i'm torn between grey's and supernatural. it sucks that they're on at the same time! i end up watching supernatural cause there's no replay online. grrrrr! wait...let me check tvguide.com to see if supernatural is a replay or not. Ü wooohoooooo! supernatural is a replay! =P guess i'm watching grey's. Ü not a bad way to end a busy day of cleaning (i rearranged the room again =P).





omg!!! =P while searching for a supernatural picture, i discovered that i can watch episode replays online! woooohoooo!

my mom and i almost forgot that it was ash wednesday today. we had to give stuff again to santi's PAL friend. we were planning to leave early today and go to the mall while my mom did some stuff at her office. the kids and i were ready by 10am. we ended up leaving at 12:30pm cause my mom took soooo long. we didn't go to the mall anymore. we went to circuit city and best buy then straight to san mateo. we were planning to visit ces in san francisco, but she mentioned that she was going to church at 5:30pm. that's when it hit me...ash wednesday. =P since my mom had to pick up something from narciso's mom, we stopped by her office. while there, maddie and mick played some arcade games. =P then we went to the 5:15pm mass. lotsa, lotsa people! anyways, it's lost tonight at 10pm. guess i'll play pokemon after. that thing is sooo addicting that my neck and shoulders were sore a couple of days ago. i needed one of those bengay patches. =P last night i actually slept early...10:30pm. the nights before, i'd sleep around 2am. =P and since mick's off this entire week, we sleep in til 9-10am. Ü oh...to santi...don't have too much fun in cebu mister! =P love ya!

finally...a post! =P ever since wednesday last week, the weather's been great! nice and sunny and temperatures in the 70s. Ü here's what we've been up to...
thursday
after picking up mick, i didn't feel like going home. =P the weather was great! we checked out a kumon center near mick's school. it's funny. most kids wouldn't be interested in learning more math and reading stuff, but mick actually wants to. Ü he wanted me to enroll him right then and there. =P told him i'll have to think about it since it's $100 per subject per month. *sigh* i need a job! =P since my mom was in the area, we met her at l & l hawaiian barbeque. mmmmm...my mouth's watering just thinking about it. =P

friday
hmmm...friday. forgot what we did. =P think i wanted to go to the mall, but i decided not to. Ü think we went straight home and played outside. Ü

saturday
i opened up the old pc and messed around with the memory. think i need to buy another sdram. Ü anyways, after closing the case, i downloaded pokemon for the pc for mick. Ü while he was playing, maddie and i were couch potatoes. Ü we watched the chronicles of narnia and the wild. mick and i were up til 2:30am.

sunday
maddie and i went with my mom to the first gerry's grill here in the u.s. food was great! again...my mouth's watering. =P since gerry's was near babies r us, we decided to look around. maddie had a blast playing with everything! she was walking around everywhere! guess she got herself sooo tired that she fell asleep as soon as she sat in her car seat. =P we got home in time for the amazing race: all-stars at 8pm. Ü after that i watch desperate housewives then brothers and sisters. =P then i fell asleep. =P

i was planning to post something earlier today, but my mom was using the comp. so while she was on this pc, i burned the pokemon folder and copied it to mick's laptop. instead of mick playing, i ended up getting addicted. =P

i just finished watching grey's and all i can say is "OMG...WTF?!?!?! OMG!!!" next week's episode better fix this week's. swear! OMG!

there's sooo many things that i keep on forgetting to write down like when maddie started saying "uh oh" or "uuuwwww". =P here's a few things that i remember:

just thinking about yesterday got me tired again. =P maddie and i left the house around 2pm cause i had to go to the bank before picking up mick. then we headed for the library. mick lost a library book sometime last month. instead of paying for the lost book right away, i renewed it for another 3 weeks. well the 3 week mark was up yesterday and no luck. =0( *sigh* oh well...a good lesson for mick to learn: take extra special care of borrowed things. when we got home, we ate then left again...my dad and mick went to get a haircut and my mom, me, maddie and camille went gown shopping. camille found her wedding dress and wanted to show us and my mom wanted to look for a gown for an upcoming party (think it's her association thing this saturday). we were at trudys from 4:30-7pm. then my mom, maddie and i headed to the mall til 9pm. i was sooooo tired! =P i wanted to go online when we got home, but i ended up helping mick with his valentine cards for his class. then i fell asleep when i was putting maddie to bed. =P back to the shopping part. it was funny watching maddie the entire time at trudys and the mall. she would hide between the long gowns and all you'd see were her feet. =P and if she disappeared, all i had to do was look for her in the jewelry or bags section. Ü this girl is gonna be high maintenance. =P she was in awe of all the jewelry. she'd point and start talking away as if she's trying to convince me why i should get that for her. at one store, she wanted me to put the necklaces and bracelets on her. when i did, she'd go to my mom and say "wow" and smile. =P then in the bags section, she'll put it on her arm then walk around a bit, stop, then open the bag to inspect what's inside. =P


the video and pics were taken before we left for the bank. i wanted to take a video of her drinking her medicine, but i needed both my hands and my mom's. =P yesterday was the first time she drank the antibiotics on her own. she sucked 2ml all by herself...the rest i had to administer myself. =P oh...and not two but three cuspids are about to come out. two lower and one upper. Ü good thing she isn't giving me any problems especially at night. my tough lil' girl! Ü

whatta fun night! noisy, yet fun. =P maddie ended up falling asleep an hour or so after we got there. Ü just in time for me to eat. can't believe she slept through all that noise. this one guy sang so loud that it tried covering maddie's ears. she didn't even budge from my shoulder. =P she slept for an hour or so. Ü even if mick's group didn't win the class pizza party, we're still treating them out for pizza. =P


oh...another pearly white is about to break maddie's gums. actually...after further inspection, not one but two are about to erupt. Ü hmmm...maybe that's what's causing her lymph nodes to swell??? a couple of days ago, i thought her nodes were getting smaller, but now, they seem the same size. arrrrgggghhh! oh well...4 more days to go. good thing! this girl is sooooo smart. after the 3rd day, she figured out a way to spit the medicine out. she gargles it at the back of her throat and uses her tongue to push the antibiotics out. miss smarty pants! now i have to give her smaller squirts at a time. grrrrrr!

it's mick's performance this afternoon. =P can't wait to see how they do. Ü yesterday was pretty busy. i went to fry's to pick up santi's laptops then we went to san mateo to meet dennis and anton. we discovered this really good bakery near them. every time we have to meet someone, we try to pass by the bakery. it's usually closed whenever we go though. =P but since we went earlier than usual, it was open. when mick and i were paying, a wave of people arrived. =P good thing we were done. Ü oh...my dad got my mom an advanced valentine's present yesterday. now i have a new toy to play with. Ü here's a pic and a video taken with my mom's new camera.

it's raining! =0( and it's supposed to rain til monday or tuesday next week. =0( got sooo much to do today. gotta buy 3 laptops for santi and meet dennis tonight near the airport. hope it stops raining at least for an hour so i can pick up the laptops.

yesterday was a busy day too. after dropping off mick, i picked up some groceries and full tanked my car. then as soon as i got home, i gave maddie her antibiotics then started cooking. i tried out the tuna salpicao recipe that jill emailed with a few changes. =P like instead of tuna fillet, i used canned tuna. =P anyways, it turned out ok. doesn't taste like salpicao to me cause the recipe used tomato sauce. don't think regular beef salpicao has tomato sauce or onions in it. as soon as i was done cooking and washing all the stuff i used, maddie made a mess and spilled all her gerber sweet corn on the ground. my mom gave her the whole bag while i was cooking. =0( by the time i was done with everything, it was almost 12 noon. good thing mick had practice til 5pm. Ü when i picked him up, we went to watch the jv team play basketball (my cousins are on the team). =P we got home around 7:30pm...and it was a thursday! thursdays = ugly betty, grey's and supernatural. Ü gotta watch grey's online now. =P

i think i've finally mastered the art of giving maddie liquid medicine. =P yes...i have to struggle and wrestle her. i know it's sad, but there's no other way. i stick my pinky into her mouth and make a cheek pocket. then i squirt her antibiotics into the back of the pocket so she'll swallow it. =P i hate hearing her cry, but i got no choice. poor baby! whenever i say medicine, she starts to argue. =P then when she sees her medicine syringe, she pushes it away or tries to grab it from me so she could throw it. =P feisty!

this morning, i noticed a lump on maddie's neck/jaw area. of course, me being the worry-wort that i am, i got scared. as soon as the clock turned 9am, i called the pedia's office. the answering service told me to call back in 5 minutes. =P i decided to get ready so we could go around 9:30-10am. when i finally called, they said that the pedia won't be in til 2pm. so as soon as we picked up mick, we went straight to the doctor. maddie's 19 pounds and 31 inches long. still petite! =P he said that she's probably just fighting off an infection and he prescribed 1 teaspoon of antibiotics 3 times a day for 10 days. he was surprised that she was so cooperative during the check up and asked if that was normal. i told him that she was probably in a good mood and distracted by the shelves of magazines she was playing with. =P he said everything looked fine and that her lymph nodes should return to normal size after the antibiotics. while looking at her throat though, we noticed something unusual with maddie's tongue. it's like the flaps under her tongue are more prominent than other kids. he said it's nothing to be worried about and that he'll ask for a second opinion from the other pedia. if he also agrees, then maddie will see a mouth and throat specialist. he said that his focus right now is her lymph nodes. *sigh* after the check-up, maddie needed a blood test. she didn't make a sound! her arm tensed up a bit after the needle pierced her skin, but that was it. no crying, no whining...nothing! Ü not a peep! Ü my tough lil' girl! when she was done, they gave her 2 stickers and she started smiling. =P after picking up maddie's antibiotics, we headed home. arrrggghhhh...whatta day! i just gave maddie her first teaspoon and i can't imagine having to go through 10 days of that. she hates taking liquid medicine! =0( just like me! i'd rather get shots than have to take liquid medicine. =P

Finally, after the four years at the University of Tennessee, the nine seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, Manning had won the big one. The biggest one.

the kids and i watched a couple movies yesterday before the super bowl. when the game started, we were all doing our own things. =P my mom was in her room, i was in the family room, mick was in the computer room playing ps2 and maddie was in our room watching barney. =P by half time, maddie was in my arms asleep.




today, i finally took mick the pedia to have his eye and cough checked. everything is a-o.k. Ü here's how his eye looked last saturday...

for maddie's 17th monthsary, i cooked breakfast. =P pancakes and bacon. Ü i got outta bed before the kids woke up so by the time i went to check on them, breakfast was ready. since maddie loves pancakes, i decided to cook baby ones for her. =P after lunch, we went to cheche's house cause my mom had to pick something up. i ended up tinkering with her desktop and installed two printers, antivirus, ccleaner and set up her fax machine. =P by the time we left, it was around 4:30pm. we were planning to check out the new jungle island. we ended up getting there by 6pm and had to leave by 6:30pm cause we had to go to the 7pm mass. mick wasn't able to play laser tag since it was late. guess we gotta go back again. =P


17 months...almost 1½ years old! what can i say about this lil' girl??? she never ceases to amaze me. everyday she picks up something new. mid-january, she started doing this goat/sheep thing. =P she'd say maaaaa like a sheep says baaaaa. sometimes maaaaahmaaaaah. =P at first, she'd call me when she hit her head on something or fall. she'd want me to kiss whatever hurt. eventually she started calling me when she wanted attention. =P my arte, oa, diva, feisty baby! *sigh* then sometime this week, she started doing this surprised face look. you know...where your jaw drops and your eyes widen in shock or disbelief. =P like when she sees something on tv or in a book that catches her fancy, she'd immediately look at me and do that face and kinda gasp. =P swear...she's sooo arte! hahaha. she already likes bags. her hand would stay up cause she doesn't want her bag to slip off her shoulder. Ü and sometimes, she'd grab her boots and want me to put them on her even if we weren't going anywhere. she also points to her hair accessory drawer cause she wants me to put a clip on her before we leave. =P she loooves playing with my makeup brushes and she loooooves to put on lotion. Ü oh...and she doesn't mind taking a shower (which she has done 5 or 6 times now).

happy birthday again to my handsome husband! Ü we really do ♥ you santi panty! =P hope you had fun last night. mmmmwwaaahhhh! gotta go help mick with his homework now. =P it's thursday night...ugly betty, supernatural and grey's night. Ü

i know it's not yet february 1st here, but it's your birthday there. happy birthday!!! wish we were there with you! we love and miss you sooooo much! mmmwwaaahhh! hope you like the stuff we sent through denver. =P

well, today we went to ihop after mick was dismissed. i've been craving for funnel cake for a loooong time...ever since i saw their commercial. when we got there, i opened the menu and didn't find it. =0( grrrr! i ended up having a philly cheese steak super stacker and a crispy banana caramel cheesecake. =P here's the picture of the day (maddie being arte again =P)...
